Engineered Comfort is proud to announce a new fan coil feature: Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) for fan coils. These UV lights emit UVC light, which destroys organic material, eliminating mold, mildew, and algae from the coil and drain pan in the unit. The lights can also reduce viruses and other germs that often live in the cool, moist and dark environment of the coil surface. It is the organic growth that binds the dirt and dust on a coil surface. Without that cellular structure, most of the dirt washes off the coil and exits with the waste water. This means less pressure drop, fewer clogged drains, and higher operating efficiencies in addition to the health benefits.
